KelSo beer had built a community of loyal fans from their keg and cask distro to the best bars and restaurants in NYC. But they needed a new look and feel to support their growth plans for canning that would set up wider distribution throughout NYC and beyond.
Two key insights drove the brand development.
1.) Fresh beer is better beer. Keg beer is best, but canning keeps beer fresher, longer than bottles. Keep it DIY, but clean and fresh. 2.) And when you are having a tough time or a particularly hard day, Beer Helps. In that spirit, KelSo had a commitment to environmental stewardship practices and donations to NYC area food and agriculture organizations.
We achieved greater distribution and market penetration by building the brand around the company’s commitment to the community and environment, both micro and macro.

Rebranding the Beer Helps program boosted revenues. From environmentally sound processes (down to the biodegradable sanitizers) packaging and ingredient choices to ongoing support to funds and product donations to NYC food banks and other ecological & social causes.
